Chris and Amanda Wedding 05/26/08

What a beautiful Memorial day weekend! It couldn't have been nicer for Chris and Amanda to have their wedding at a local winery. The day was perfect, everything went pretty smooth, and most important, Chris and Amanda are married and off on their honeymoon! Congrats guys and thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful day. It was a blast, enjoy these few photos that will wet your mouth for more to come.

Such an early day had to start off with a big cup of caffeine! Yum, yum... WaWa!

The bride getting her hair worked on. It was a fun time hanging with the girls in the morning. They were all a bit hyped up on sugar.

The groom is big into racing and managed to find these gear shift cuff links, they were pretty cool I must say!

Here is Chris the groom, with his groomsmen.

Chris relaxing in a chair before hand. Trying to calm his nerves.

The bride, Amanda, out in the vineyards.

Amanda and her bridesmaids in the vineyards. The sky was just beautiful!

Amanda plays the bagpipes, so she wanted a picture of her helping to tune the pipers. Well after she did that she came around and gave him this face. Kind of like, is that the best you got? It was really funny!

A young lady paying close attention to the wedding, as you can tell.

During the wedding, there was a small issue with the wind and the Unity Candle. Needless to say it found the ground and this was the reaction from the bride and groom. It worked out though and they ended up doing that part of the ceremony in the reception.

Funny faces. 'Nough said!

Beautiful skies, and just a wonderful setting for pictures of the bride and groom.

I wanted to make this shot look like the bride was carefree and like she was the only thing that mattered on her special day!

The side of the winery was full of this great wood texture, so we shot a few shots here on the way up to the reception.

The bride a little more relaxed after the ceremony, sitting in the vineyards.

Chris and Amanda canoodling in the vineyards. They were so much fun and pretty much up for anything I threw at them.

They must have taken some lessons, they were dancing so well and it looked like they were having so much fun!

A little girl watching and dreaming of being the bride I think.

A fun ring shot on a four leaf clover that was given to the bride the night before the wedding by one of the little girls.

Aaahhh, the garter. Anyone who knows Chris knows he's a character. This was his "character" coming out after he found the garter.

Since Chris is big on racing, he has a bunch of model cars that a few guys from work decided would be fun to play with. On the floor of the reception. I'd say it's time to grow up guys, but this was too much fun!

The coat came off towards the end of the night. Then it was time to party!

A beautiful end to a beautiful day!

Melissa's Cancer Surgery 5/22/08

Well, it's been a tough week for my wife Melissa. Having to have her Thyroid Cancer surgically removed on Tuesday the 20th. She was stuck in the hospital until this morning when they took the tube out of her neck and let her go home. She's resting and doing well at the moment. I felt uncomfortable at the hospital, so what made me feel better? My camera of course. Here are a few pics I took while she was having her surgery. Please feel free to pray for my wife's quick recovery and for her to not have any more cancer to have to deal with. This is the second kind this year that we've had to deal with having removed.

Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA

The front of LGH looks like a grand museum or something with it's graphic structure and water fountain with surrounding flowers. It's almost beautiful!

I walked back and forth to this parking lot way too many times. Her room was in the back of the hospital. It must have been almost a 1/3 of a mile walk to and from her room each time.

The front lobby looked like something out of a fancy hotel. It's just amazing!

Some beautiful flowers outside surrounding the fountain. Sorry, these pics are all in BW, it's just how I was feeling, gray and colorless.

Melissa's dad waiting with myself and her mom in the waiting room for almost 4 hours during surgery and recovery.

The interior of this hospital is just amazing. Looking up in the front lobby, it's about 30-40ft up to the ceiling.

One of the long hallways I had to walk back and forth to get to my wifes room.

Of course, not helping with how I felt was the crappy weather outside. Rainy and miserable. Pretty much how I've felt during this whole process.

Mothers Day 2008

It was an interesting Mother's Day weekend. My dad and step mom were visiting from New Hampshire. Friday night we hung out inside and made dinner. Saturday I played football in the afternoon, then we grilled on the deck. Then Alexa got a little sick and we ended up in the ER until 3am. Sunday (Mother's Day) we went to the 19th annual Make A Wish Truck Convoy. It's always a good time, however Alexa wasn't feeling well still so we didn't hang out long. Melissa and her mom worked a game table this year instead of their normal volunteering in the food tent. I'm pretty sure it was a little less stressful than normal. Finally on Sunday night we ate dinner out, at Culturas. The new Tapas restaurant at El Serrano Restaurant. The food was sooooo good and it's so beautiful in there, we had just and amazing time. I recommend it highly! Hope everyone else had a good time for Mother's day.

Alexa playing in the house Friday night. Probably one of my favorite pics of her.

My dad out on the deck on Saturday night while we were grilling.

Mmmmm, VaLa wine, I'm pretty sure this was the Silk.

Alexa and her Nana!

The front row line of trucks for the Make A Wish Truck Convoy. The trucks are always so clean and beautiful looking for the Convoy.

Some American flags that lined a flat bed.

The clean chrome of a truck, who's that beautiful girl in the reflection? :)

A swirly Turkey Hill cow lined the entrance to the food tents at the Convoy.

Alexa and Mommy in the food tent at the Convoy. This is one of my favorite pics of them. The women in my life, love you both!

Culturas, the Tapas restaurant at El Serrano, an amazing place! The food was amazing!
